PENGAKUAN!

KAMARUL bersama BMW miliknya

Masa ambil, odometer baru 8,000km.

Beberapa perkara kau kena tahu:

1. Harga:
RM80,000 hutang vs RM75,000 tunai. Bukan mudah kumpul wang tunai sebanyak RM75,000.

2. Waranti:
BMW terpakai tahun 2010 mestilah dah luput waranti. Kereta baru ada warranty sehingga 5 tahun. Jika kewangan baru nak stabil, jangan peningkan kepala pakai kereta tiada warranty. Kecuali kau beli kereta terpakai yang kos selenggara rendah. Semestinya bukan BMW E90.

3. Alat ganti:
Kalau kereta dah rosak, nak kena cari lagi sparepart sendiri, memang niaya. Sparepart Taiwan pun murah, tapi apa guna beli kereta kualiti Jerman tapi semua pakai parts Taiwan yang tak authorised. Baik beli kereta tempatan tapi alat ganti asli. Bergaya jangan sampai poket papa kedana. itu kurang bijak.

4. Tayar:
Sesetengah spec E90 tiada tayar spare. Ia pakai tayar run flat— bermaksud kalau pancit boleh jalan beberapa puluh kilometer lagi dengan kelajuan terhad. Harga sebuah tayar run flat untuk size untuk E90 ni mececah RM1,200 sebiji. Aku tukar kepada tayar biasa, sebab tak mampu. Kalau pancit, terpaksa panggil tow truck. Lagi satu, saiz tayar pun tak begitu mudah di cari.

5. Penjimatan bahan api:
E90 320i mempunyai enjin 2.0L.

Cuba teka harga brake pad ori E90 berapa? Eh jangan kata boleh pakai brake tak ori pula.

Credit untuk Saudara Kamarul, pemilik BMW E90 :)~

TOYOTA AVANZA KEJAR LAMPU MERAH LANGGAR BMW M4

Melalui carian dari Mudah dot my, harga model BMW M4 F82, 3.0 Coupe (A) tahun 2014 dijual pada harga RM568,000-RM615,000. Kalau claim insuran pun boleh kurus dompet jawabnya.... Next time kalau lampu isyarat tu dah berkelip jangan dikejar lagi.

Sekian, pesanan ringkas berhati-hati ketika memandu.

TOYOTA YARIS HSD CONCEPT

Toyota looks like its aiming for a serious push down the hybrid path into Europe’s largest market sector, the B-segment, and will show the precursor to things in the form of the Yaris HSD Concept, which makes its world debut in Geneva next month. The Japanese automaker hasn’t divulged any details about the upcoming hatch, aside from a teaser shot of its nose and stating that it will have hybrid-specific styling cues and new, forward-looking design elements. It adds that that the car anticipates the company’s hybrid intentions for the segment and represents the next step in its full hybrid roll-out strategy for the continent.

ADAPTASI DARI KELUARAN TOYOTA 2011

Tadi aku Google tiba2 aku jumpa benda alah ni, nampak pelik kan rupa bentuk kereta ni.

TOYOTA ETIOS SEDAN

This Etios Sedan is powered by a 2NR-FE 1.5 liter engine (newer than our Malaysian 1.5L 1NZ-FE) that integrates the exhaust manifold into the cylinder head. It’s tuned for fuel efficiency – power is lower than usual at only 90 PS at 5,600rpm and peak torque is 132Nm at a lowish 3,000rpm, compared to our Malaysian spec 1NZ-FE 1.5 liter’s 109 PS at 6,000rpm and 141Nm at 4,200rpm. A hatchback version called the Etios Liva with a smaller 1.2 liter engine should be coming in April 2011.

TOYOTA PRIUS MPV ON EARLY NEXT YEAR!

TOYOTA PRIUS MPV ON EARLY NEXT YEAR!

Toyota will be introducing the next extension of its Prius family, a MPV-sized offering, at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next January.

There are no details about the vehicle, the second to wear the Prius badge, save a teaser video called Prius Puzzle, showing the MPV’s profile in a billboard in Malibu, California, mostly hidden by the current ZVW30 Prius

Given the scope increase, the longer-wheelbase Prius MPV should easily be a seven-seater. It and a planned third Prius model, which will be smaller than the existing third-gen version, are slated to enter the US market in two years time.

Camry challenging Chrysler 200 mid-sized sedan unveiled

Chrysler has unveiled its new mid-sized challenger to rival the Camry, Accord and Chevy Malibu. Named 200, this younger brother to the 300 kills off the Sebring nameplate and will go on sale as a 2011 model. Fiat now owns Chrysler, but the Sterling Heights, Michigan built 200 isn’t a reskinned Italian car.
Described as a car that appeals to “customers that want style and substance, all at a surprising value”, the 200 is based on the third-gen Sebring, which made its debut in 2007, but with heavily revised styling that makes it appear much more handsome than before.
New bits include front and rear fascias and fenders, grille featuring the new Chrysler winged badge, hood, rear decklid and exterior mirrors, new projector headlamps and fog lamps, new LED taillamps and a LED centre high-mounted stop light. The rear end clearly apes the Jaguar XF.

The 200 will be powered by the 2.4-litre four-pot “World Engine” mated to either a four-speed or six-speed automatic gearbox. The V6 option is filled by the company’s 3.6-litre Pentastar engine mated to a six-speed auto.
Chrysler says that ride and handling has been improved thanks to stiffened body mounts and a softer ride rate, improved suspension geometry with a raised roll centre and a new rear sway bar. NVH has been “extensively upgraded” from the old car as well.

China wants foreign companies to disclose EV secrets

Trouble seems to be brewing in one of the world’s largest automotive markets, China. It has been reported in the Wall Street Journal that the Chinese Government wants to force foreign companies to reveal their electric vehicle technology before they can sell their wares in China.

The country’s current proposition says that foreign automakers wishing to produce electric technology must form a joint-venture with a Chinese company. In the joint-venture, the foreign company would only hold a 49 percent stake, which basically means the Chinese company will hold a majority stake.

This is all part of the government’s 10-year plan, at making the nation “the world’s leader” in developing and producing battery-powered cars and hybrids, according to executives of four foreign auto makers. The Wall Street Journal says that the plan is to develop three to five Chinese companies into global EV and hybrid players by 2020, along with two to three global suppliers of key components such as batteries and motors.

This will be a dangerous balancing act for foreign companies as China has a lot of leverage, being one of the biggest auto buyers in the world, while revealing their tech secrets could see it being used for other purposes. The plan will be distributed among other government agencies and state-owned automakers to gauge their opinions on the matter. There is a likelihood that the technology transfer clause could be changed or even modified before the plan is commissioned. If there is no opposition to the plan, it could be put in place as soon as next month.

A very scary thought, but if Toyota’s actions are a precursor to other automakers actions, we could see a major pullout of foreign companies from China. Toyota have postponed the release of its latest generation Prius hybrid in China (which has been on sale in many other market since 2009) until they get confirmation on China’s plan.

TOYOTA COROLLA ALTIS WITH DUAL VVT-i LAUNCH!

UMW Toyota Motor’s website has been updated to include details on the impending arrival of the facelifted Toyota Corolla Altis. This mid-life update brings us a new top of the range model – the Corolla Altis 2.0V which is tentatively priced at RM131,990.00.

The new Corolla Altis 2.0V comes with a 2.0 liter Dual VVT-i 3ZR-FE engine producing 147 PS at 6,200rpm and 187Nm of torque at an earlier than usual 3,600rpm. This is mated to a Super CVT-i transmission with 7 virtual gear ratios, spanning from 2.396:1 to 0.428:1. Among safety features offered include VSC stability control and dual airbags.

It’s not just the 2.0V that gets the new Dual VVT-i engines – the entire product range has been updated with new engines, even the 1.6E model. All of the Corolla Altis engines now come from the ZR family and they all have Dual VVT-i. It’s not as advanced as Valvematic but still very nice when most of its competitors only have some kind of variable valve timing on the intake valve only, while Dual VVT-i is able to vary both the intake and exhaust valves.

The Altis with the 1.8 liter engine is available in two variants – the 1.8G at RM122,990 or the 1.8E at RM112,990. The RM10k difference between the two specs at first glance are only in terms of equipment and trim, but upon taking a closer look it looks like the 1.8G has VSC stability control while the 1.8E doesn’t

Other than that, the powertrain is the same – the 1.8 liter 2ZR-FE engine makes 140 PS at 6,400rpm and 173Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. This engine also gets a Super CVT-i 7-speed gearbox. with a 2.386 to 0.411 gear ratio span.

The cheapest model is the Corolla Altis 1.6E at RM105,990 powered by the new Dual VVT-i 1.6 liter 1ZR-FE engine making 120 PS at 6,000rpm and 154Nm of torque at 5,200rpm. This model doesn’t get the Super CVT-i gearbox but makes do with a 4-speed Super ECT transmission. Dual airbags are also standard on this car as with all of the models above.

No word yet on Toyota’s site on when the new Corolla Altis will be launched, but we’ll surely update you soon! In the meanwhile, look after the jump for 2 TVCs we managed to source from the Thai market as well as some Thai market photos

MITSUOKA RELEASE PREMIUM GOLD OROCHI

The Mitsuoka Orochi is one of the most scary looking cars of all time, but the design is deliberate since the car is inspired by a monster from Japanese folklore that has eight heads and eight tails! Introduced as a concept at the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show, the serpent started life as a production car in 2007.

“Yamata no Orochi was a gigantic snake with a body that was the length of eight hills. Its fiery orange eyes struck fear in all who saw it, and its belly was blood red. This giant had eight heads and eight tails. Mitsuoka Orochi’s stylish body replicates the firm muscles of the Yamata no Orochi, the power and energy of the legendary snake captivating your attention whichever angle you view it,” explains the car’s designer Takanori Aoki.

Mitsuoka, a company more famous for rebodied mass market cars with old world styling, has now introduced a special edition of the Orochi called Premium Gold. As its name suggests, the car has a new gold paint job along with additional spoilers at the front and rear. Only 20 Premium Gold Orochis will be made.

The hand crafted Orochi is powered by a Toyota 3.3-litre V6 which produces 233 bhp and 328 Nm of torque paired to a five-speed automatic – not bad, but the pace won’t be as fearsome as the looks with those kind of figures. Interested? The Orochi is actually available in Malaysia, alongside Mitsuoka’s other “classic cars”. It was launched here back in August 2007, with Malaysia being the second country to sell it after Japan. Last we heard, it carried a price tag of RM1,025,000! The local distributor is Able Automobile, which has a showroom in Petaling Jaya opposite the University Hospital.
